Given the month it is we should not only BE thankful, but we should SHOW IT! I would like to thank veteran’s for everything they do and go through. I don’t know any veterans personally, but I did come across this article and it gave me many ways to show my gratitude anyway. I am not in the position to help in some of these ways, but I can write a check! I also love to shop, so I plan on finding a veteran-owned business in the near future! If you are able to help in any way it will not go unappreciated! #ThankfulThursday
One way to help is to get involved in volunteering. There are many different areas for volunteering like mentoring a young person, visiting someone in a hospital, working on community projects, or working in a charity shop.
Another way is to support local businesses by telling friends and family about your favorite one, follow them on social media, and / or leave positive reviews. Anything helps, even a small gesture can go a long way!
Donating is always a good way to help out. Go around your house and find the things that you have been thinking about getting rid of or things that you have always thought caused clutter and take them to charity shops. There is also the option to donate money. There are many organizations that accept money donations. Blood donation is also an option for those that can.

There are a lot of things to think about when buying a home. Like renovations and if you can afford or handle them. Look at the windows and ceiling, think about if you will need repairs in the near future. Make sure to hire a home inspector to clarify the deep issues of the house you are looking at. Also, look at the kitchen and bathrooms to see if you would want them renovated. Would the house still be worth it after putting all the renovation money into it? When thinking to buy a home, treat it like it is your own. Take your daily steps through the home to see how it “fits.” Is there enough room in the kitchen, bedroom, and even the garage? Would you have enough space to fit all your belongings and move around comfortably? Make sure that the sinks, toilet, lights, etc. work properly. Don’t wait until it is too late, do all these things before buying the home, think long-term.
