If you know me, you know of my involvement with our Blue Star Mothers, Miami Valley Chapter and all that we do to support our military. With the holidays – it is even more important for our organization to send a little token of our gratitude, filled with holiday cheer and lots of LOVE! This event is our top packing party of the year and brings so much joy for us to fill those stockings, for the community to provide donations for the cause and for our military to open the unexpected “gift”. We THANK YOU for helping us to continue this part of our Mission, and I am HONORED to be able to assist in sharing their story.
With the weather starting to get cold it’s easy to stay cooped up inside. Don’t let that happen to you. There are plenty of things to do, one thing being indoor playground areas. This could be for adults, kids, or both! There are many places to go on this list, including Little Gym of Dayton, Scene 75, Run Around Fun Town, EnterTRAINment Junction, and more! Some of these places cost to go to, but some are free. Keep moving this winter, don’t let the weather bog you down!
In our area for over 20 years, Blue Turtle Toys, is an Oakwood shop that is such a wonderful experience to enjoy – not just because of a holiday season – but year-round! We found the toys to be welcoming (not at all in a creepy way either) and even more welcoming is the owner and those who may frequent the store. Truly a delight to see the joy on faces brought because of a special memory a toy can hold.
Stop by the next time you are in the area and see for yourself!
