Beavercreek

Voted among Top 100 Best Places to Live – Money Magazine pick #84 and our Ohio Senate honors the vote! A growing population of about 40,000 and industry, shopping / retail, restaurants and more all to keep residents active and happy.

As noted on the City website…

Beavercreek is characterized by a spacious, rolling, wooded environment providing a very attractive setting for the many fine residential neighborhoods. Beavercreek is considered to be among the most attractive, dynamic and desirable locations in the Dayton area with an outstanding quality of life. Consequently, it has also been one of the fastest growing suburbs with housing ranging from exclusive, custom-built homes to charming older neighborhoods. Beavercreek still contains a considerable amount of open, undeveloped property with neighboring unincorporated areas subject to future annexation.

This is a community that I recommend for those seeking an easy commute to anywhere yet offering a stable and growing environment. The schools are rated Excellent with sports programs that compete statewide. Military families enjoy Beavercreek’s advantages and easy drive to WPAFB.

Oakwood

Oakwood will be celebrating their Centennial this year! Congratulations for making the 1908-2008 transition and for offering residents a charming and distinctive community to call home. Orville Wright’s among the well known who once called Oakwood home (the house on the corner of Harmon and Park) still standing. John Patterson (founder of NCR) also lived in Oakwood. Today, many community leaders and professionals reside in Oakwood. Best known for the TUDOR style home, Oakwood has a range of home designs and prices to meet the taste of residents (from affordable elegance to stately grandeur.)

Kettering

Named after Charles Kettering, philanthropist and inventor of the auto self-start, Kettering is located just 5 miles South of Downtown Dayton and is a bustling city for businesses and families. The school system is in the top rankings consistently and is the second largest school district of Montgomery County.

Many activities are available, along with shopping and dining out. The Fraze Pavilion is a great concert experience and fun way to “unwind.” Kettering Medical Center is located here, with the Kettering Health Network among the area leading employers.

West Carrollton

“Welcome Home” greets you as you enter West Carrollton and it is one of the feelings the close to 14,000 residents have each time they come and go. Easy access to Interstate 75 makes this a community that can easily commute to Dayton or Cincinnati. Appleton Paper Mill and other industry call West Carrollton “home” and the area relishes the sense of balance they have achieved. A strong and consistent school rating helps to build the youth who will be citizens of tomorrow!

Miamisburg

This “Star City” is home to about 20,000 residents and is a diverse and very active community. Miamisburg is rich in history as well and has a Historical Society that is dedicated to preserving the memories and homes. With many community activities, it is common to see people “out and about” in Miamisburg. The Dayton Mall has recently completed its renovation project that added to the “original” all inclusive / interior mall design by joining open and separate buildings that is perfect for your full shopping experience.

Vandalia

Home to about 14,000 residents, Vandalia is “The Crossroads of America.” The Dayton International Airport is located in Vandalia and the Annual Air Show is an event of great magnitude and attraction. (If you have never been to the Air Show – the actual event does NOT take place at the airport. Signs will direct you to the correct area.) Living in Vandalia offers you an easy commute with the school system earning an Excellent Rating!
