Free Outdoor Adventure Festival
That’s right! I said free! There will be a FREE Midwest premier outdoor adventure festival going on October 5th and 6th at Eastwood MetroPark in Dayton. It will be Saturday from 11 AM – 10 PM and Sunday from 11 AM – 4 PM. Come out to enjoy the weather while it is still nice! There will be many different activities going on to keep people going all day and night! For more information click on the image below. 
Humane Society
Have a soft spot for animals? Ever think about helping them out in some way? Well, a great way to do so is to volunteer at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. These animals will be so grateful to have someone around. I feel like the hard part would be not taking them all home after spending time with them! To become a volunteer there is an orientation that is about two hours, after that it’s about meeting the Volunteer Coordinator to finish up. Dayton Music Festival 2019

Donating blood is a great way to help our community. The Community Blood Center in Dayton fulfills daily blood product needs for many partner hospitals and health centers in our county service area’s. They can be reached at (937) 461-3450 and they are located at 349 S. Main Street, Dayton, OH 45402. Their hours are Monday – Thursday from 7 AM – 6 PM, Friday from 7 AM – 4 PM and Saturday from 7 AM – 1 PM. Click here for more information.
Historic Districts
I thought this was interesting to see mapped out and thought I would share it! This site shows the 13 different historic districts that are right here in Dayton! These districts are the Oregon, South Park, Dayton View, McPherson Town, St. Anne’s Hill, Huffman, East 3rd Street, Grafton Hill, Grafton-Rockwood-Wroe and Kenilworth. Some of these I already knew about, but many I have not even heard of! This is nice to know!
