This wonderful “little” city is located North of Dayton and is an easy commute to surrounding communities via Interstate 75 / 70 that are nearby. Tippecanoe (previously known as) now Tipp City hosts events in the area and is a thriving place “to be” when you visit the town center for festival or concert or shop any of the street lined store-fronts. Yellow Springs

If you have not yet been to Yellow Springs, put down what you are doing and go! There are so many things to do and it is gorgeous! Young’s Jersey Dairy is a must and can be found on Facebook (as with almost everything else these days). There are also trails, a brewery, many places to grab a bite and multiple ways to stay entertained! For more information on what to do here, visit this site. It is so beautiful here, it is definitely worth going at least once, but I’m sure it will be hard to not go back!

A Little About Mason

Mason is the largest city in Warren County near the southwest corner of Ohio.  Warren County is “Ohio’s Largest Playground” and Mason is the anchor.  Come to Mason and stay for the fun!  Regional attractions include The Golf Center, Great Wolf Lodge and Conference Center, Kings Island amusement park, and the annual Western & Southern Open.  Local attractions include the Mason Community Center and Mason Historical Society’s Alverta Green Museum.  Residents and visitors look forward to the annual Red, Rhythm and Boom event, Mason Heritage Festival and Parade, Christmas in Mason activities and a wide variety of programs and classes for all ages at Mason Community Center.  There is always something to do here!

Property Values after Disasters

County Auditors have the ability to REDUCE the value of properties when the properties have been damaged or destroyed.  Often times, in the after math of tragic situations, people do not realize this!  With the onslaught of all those tornadoes and ALL THE DAMAGE so many are now facing, we wanted to remind you of this opportunity.  The REDUCED value (potential lower taxes) may last until the property is fully restored / rebuilt to its prior condition or value.

Each county will have a DIFFERENT FORM to complete, here is MONTGOMERY COUNTY    and     GREENE COUNTY forms.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all who have been impacted by these storms!

*** UPDATE to include Forms:

Application for Valuation Deduction for Damaged Real Estate
