Spring has sprung and everyone is getting that “cleaning” feeling – which is a great time to have a Garage Sale! Centerville will again have their citywide Sale beginning Thursday, May 1st thru Saturday, May 3rd from 8-5. Look for the signs and you’ll find some great deals as many residents participate in this event. One of the few times driving around in the car may actually SAVE you money! (Residents remember, if the items don’t sell – instead of packing them back in the house – DONATE. There will also be the bulk item pickup available with your regular trash service May 5-8.)

My kids and I love to go to the festivals – that’s why we love this time of year, as they all are just getting started! Bellbrook is kicking off the 30th Annual Sugar Maple Festival – today. Yes, they even crown a Queen for the event – and one lucky young lady will be so named from the Bellbrook Middle School. So Thursday is more of the initial ceremony, setup and Friday kicks it off with a bang at their Downtown Bellbrook party. Complete with Dog Show, entertainment, food and fun! This will be the 25th Annual Event and if you are a sports fan, it is an event you don’t want to miss! Not only is it an opportunity for you to pick up some great memorabillia but it is a wonderful way to help support the St. Leonard Senior Living Community in Centerville. Local celebrities will host the event and their are several hundred items up for Silent Auction, with the live auction featuring the bigger “ticket” items. Registration is $65 per person, or if you have a group of 8 a table is $500. If it seems high in price – remember this is a CHARITY EVENT that has been around for years to help support our seniors. One day, we will not be so young and it is nice to think that maybe St Leonard’s Senior Living Community will still be around to help us out!
